“Live Long and Prosper”

Hey guys! I’m back once again!

First things first, may you rest in peace, Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy). You will be dearly missed. We’ve lost yet another man who changed how we looked at the world. (I know, I know…3 days late. I got busy, k?) Sigh…another one bites the dust 😦

Red, Yellow, Blue

Hey everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year of the Goat 🙂 I personally don’t celebrate it, but a significant amount of people in the world do so why not say it?

Anyways, I wanted to share this weird thing that happened to me last year. Call it coincidence, call it fate, call it superstition, call it…mental instability! But this is how I saw it, and you won’t have much say in how you’ll see it. (So sorry.)

Still got the Valentine’s Day blues?

Hey guys!

Haha, a belated ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’! No offense to anyone who didn’t have a happy one…it’s just that the combination of ‘Happy + Insert random noun here + Day‘ sounds really good together. And I don’t believe in ‘Anti-Valentine’s Day’. That’s not very nice, coming from a Catholic who takes feast days of certain Saints very seriously. Anyways, I had an average Valentine’s Day, if you were wondering–I went to a museum and made sweet love to some 19th century contemporary art…again…

Hey again, guys!

Just letting you know that I’ve successfully co-erced–erm, I mean, convinced–another friend to join the blogging community! Man, I wish my charms worked on my former Math and Physics teachers…damn…

Solipsism Speaking

Hi guys,

A friend introduced me to this, and this is my first time ever blogging. 🙂 I hope I’ll be able to keep it up though, cuz I think I’ll be more likely to forget about blogging after a while. Gahaha.

A little about me: I was born in Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, 1998. I studied in CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (Primary), and am now (somehow miraculously) in School of the Arts, Singapore (aka SOTA). I am in the Visual Arts faculty, and specialize in Sculpture.

I love to read and draw (though I’d never show you my normal sketchbooks cuz I’d be embarrassed at how bad they are haha). I also play the piano and violin, though I only recently started learning the latter.

You’ll probably be hearing a lot of my day to day troubles in here, so I hope you’re prepared for that. 😏

Discovering WordPress.com & My Inner Geek

Hey everyone!

Woah, I’m unusually early with my next post, huh? Haha. I guess I’m getting really into this blogging thing. I come on here everyday to check on my views, re-read my posts, browse through other blogs, and then plan my next posts. And being an introvert, I over-think and plan elaborately for just about anything and everything. (Special mention: Check out ‘Quiet’ by Susan Cain! In a nutshell, it’s about how quiet people actually rule the world.)

Things Are Looking Up!

Hey guys! Hope you’re all doing fine 🙂 I know I am! I’m just so happy nowadays, probably because I went through what came close to hell last year… Continue reading

Hey guys!
So I finally got my friend to start a blog 🙂 Check out her first post here!

Ravenous artist, Violent Pianist

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my blog! It has been a long time since I blogged as I am usually not committed to this kind of things.

Here is a bit of information about me…. My name is Guan Lin but most of the time, people call me by my initials (GL). I was born in Singapore, specifically KK Hospital. I turn 1 year older every 17th of October and I am turning 18 as I write this. My height is 176cm as of 3rd Feb 2015. Started my education in Chiltern House. Then, after four years of kindergarden, I moved on to primary school @ Nanyang Pri School (NYPS). I took my PSLE in 2009, and surprisingly i manage to get into School of the Arts (SOTA). When i was in SOTA, I majored in sculpture under the visual arts faculty. Visual arts has been some thing I…

Update time!

Hello once again, cyber world!

First things first, my apologies for neglecting this blog. I got caught up in my school work and so much teenage, hormonal drama stuff…plus, I went on a service trip to Tarlac, Philippines, which went splendid by the way.

Why is it so hard to say “Goodbye”?

Hello friends,

So the school year here is coming to an end…exams are right around the corner, after which we have our various overseas school trips, and then, I think, some concluding lessons once we get back. I’ve already said my farewell to a couple of teachers. It was nice to see they were as affected and saddened by it as I was. Never thought/realized they really did care about us. Actually, right now, I’m in the middle of skipping a class. Continue reading

A Series of Unfortunate Events

DISCLAIMER: this post gets REALLY messy…I mean REALLY messy. You’ve been warned.

Hey guys…

Feeling really drained lately. I don’t know why. I’ve been getting at least 8 hours of sleep, and I take ciestas(aka naps) on weekends for like hours at a time. I’ve been eating healthy–no soda or fast food at all–and exercising. (Well, I haven’t been taking my meds, but I haven’t done that in a LONG while so I doubt it’ll make a difference.) So I don’t know what’s wrong………..well, maybe I do…
